Who is Rotten Tomatoes: Movies | TV Shows | Movie Trailers | Reviews | Rotten Tomatoes suitable for?

This platform is designed for cinephiles, casual viewers, and industry professionals who rely on aggregated feedback to navigate vast media libraries. It is particularly useful for individuals who want quick, digestible summaries of quality rather than reading dozens of individual reviews. Film students and critics also use the site to track historical trends and professional consensus on cinema.

How do I use Rotten Tomatoes to find content?

Users can navigate the site by searching for specific titles, browsing by genre, or filtering by "Fresh" or "Rotten" status. For current releases, the homepage highlights top-rated new movies and TV shows. Users can click on any title to access detailed pages containing full reviews, trailer embeds, and links to buy tickets or find streaming options. The search functionality allows filtering by year, genre, and even specific actors or directors.

What is the significance of the Tomatometer?

The Tomatometer is the site's flagship metric, representing the percentage of approved critic reviews that are positive. A score of 60% or higher earns the "Fresh" label, while below 60% is marked "Rotten." For films with sufficient reviews, a "Certified Fresh" designation is awarded for consistent high scores. This system simplifies quality assessment, allowing users to gauge general critical reception at a glance without consuming extensive written content.
